6th Street Kitchen Launches Happy Hour

I just got an email from the PR director of 6th Street Kitchen (507 East 6th Street btwn Avenue A & B) the East Village restaurant specializing in small, shared plates.  They are now open daily from 5:30 with drink specials & the full menu at 6pm.  I’ve been meaning to go here for some time, I might check them out tonight!

New York, NY 7/13/2010__ 6th Street Kitchen launched its new happy hour on July 12, 2010.  Monday through Friday, from 5:30pm-7pm, Kitchen offers drink specials on beer, wine and sangria, as well as a bar menu featuring their delicious chorizo sliders and fish tacos. The full sit-down dinner menu is available starting at 6pm.Every Friday night, rotating DJs spin eclectic tunes to enhance the restaurant’s atmosphere, which New York Magazine says is a “calm, civilized ambience…an East Village oasis.”  DJ Tease (NYC) is the inaugural DJ for 6th Street Kitchen’s happy hour party on Friday, July 16.

Update (07/22/10); Via Twitter, 6th Street Kitchen informs us that Happy Hour has been pushed back till the Fall.

    Sometimes it’s nice to just have a solid place in one’s hood. Not anything super posh or exotic, just a standby when nothing else more exciting sounds good.
